"Connection is why we are here:
it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives."

~ Berne Brown

Connection is the key to human survival and with all of the disconnects in our lives currently (technology, pandemics, disjointed families, workplaces, etc.) it is imperative to cultivate connection from within. The special group session series focuses on Authentic Connection, starting within ourselves, and to our Self, before radiating outward. Our perception and ability to connect is first fostered through our five senses. Therefore, the first session in this series will focus on connecting with our five senses. Once we are anchored in this way, we can then move into connecting internally and finding that sense of “home” within ourselves. When our internal connection with our Self is strong, we can then begin to radiate that sense of connection outward. As we begin to interact with the outer world while grounded in our inner sense of connection, there is a ripple effect that extends a feeling of affinity and kinship far beyond ourselves. And when there is a connection in this way, separation, divisiveness and enmity naturally dissolve.

The Group BodyTalk Session series offers an opportunity for anyone to partake in a remote pre-recorded BodyTalk session with top Instructors in the BodyTalk System. Instructors tune into the collective energy of all those who will listen, providing a session that can offer powerful benefits to anyone who may view the session in the future. Countless testimonials have demonstrated that viewing these sessions at any time and tapping them out can be just as effective as receiving sessions in real-time in person. In fact, group sessions are often more powerful because they are amplified by the shared observations and experiences of a large group. Additionally, remote group sessions will increase your understanding of important BodyTalk concepts that you can bring into your sessions with clients and provide an opportunity for shifts in your own health, consciousness, and perception.

You will need to create a PaRama Campus account and all registrations will go through that website. Access to the Authentic Connections Group Sessions Series is all accessible through your account on PaRama campus.

Group BodyTalk Session: Your Five Senses

Our perception and ability to connect is first fostered through our five senses with development starting in fetal life. In the womb, we are not conscious of any separation or personal identity. But, upon entering this world, our journey of separation begins. After the experience of a global pandemic, we feel more disconnected and sensually shut down than perhaps ever before. All of our senses play a part in the connection or disconnection going on in the world today. Whether it’s the sense of sight as we try to tell if someone is smiling under their mask, or recognizing how much we read lips to hear properly, or hearing too much information around COVID, or the smell of hand sanitizer, these sensory perceptions can create fear for many. Additionally, in light of the COVID pandemic, we are hyper-focused on whether or not our sense of taste is functioning as an indication of health status, and our sense of touch, the most essential of all, is hijacked by our fear of touching anything—surfaces, the air, each other. Of all the senses, touch is the only one we cannot live without. This pre-recorded remote group session will focus on the disconnect we may be experiencing across each of the five senses, grounding, optimizing and revitalizing them. The session will support integrating each of the senses with the others, so we come back to living more sensually. As we are more grounded and connected in our senses, we can experience life more fully. Although the examples of sensory shock above are COVID-related, this session will use a much wider lens to encompass pre-COVID and post-COVID areas of sensory disconnect as well. The stresses of modern life, regardless of whether or not we are in a pandemic, create many opportunities to disconnect from our senses as a coping mechanism.

Group BodyTalk Session: Internally Connected

Our five senses gather information about our environment, but how we interpret and experience our environment is determined by the sense of connection we have to our Self. This pre-recorded group session will focus on detaching from the societal beliefs that have been imprinted on us, often through fear, and coming home to ourselves. Who are you? What is your purpose? These are often questions we have on our spiritual quests. After a global pandemic, we have been isolated, we may have lost loved ones, we may be separated from friends or our previous jobs are gone, and we are, perhaps, in the perfect place to really come home to Self. Many of our past identities, roles, and duties have shifted. Although some of us may feel more disconnected and lost than ever, we may be closer to “coming home” to Self than we realize. These shifts and changes can occur at any time in life, regardless of global crises. No matter how the things around us change, if we have a solid sense of Self, we are adaptable and flexible to deal with anything that comes our way. From a place of internal connection, we can confidently pursue a new way of living fully.

Group BodyTalk Session: Raidiating Connection

Have you ever been in the presence of someone who radiates joy, peace or fun? It’s contagious! However, during the global pandemic (and subsequent global and political climate), we spent so much time disconnecting because of fears, judgements, discriminations and, honestly, a lot of bullying. Families ripped apart, friendships broke, and jobs disappeared. Many people were not able to enjoy the events that would typically connect them—a Christmas gathering, a beautiful funeral or wake to celebrate someone's passing, or the ability to share time and hugs with a family member in the hospital during their final days. This moratorium on connection has taken its toll on how willing we are to connect with each other now. In some ways, as a result of the pandemic, we are more connected as we learned to take better advantage of technology. But, are we now habitually isolating? And, if so, is that healthy on the global spectrum? The focus of this pre-recorded remote group session will be to re-discover that joyful sense of connection with others that we all long for. The session will support opening ourselves up to others so we can cultivate meaningful connections that can sustain us through future tough patches When we see each other with empathy, from a personal sense of connection and confidence, we can radiate that to everyone around us. Let’s embark on a journey to radiate connection around the world.
